Another year is upon us

All of the political scandals, the economic gyrations, stock market swings. The warm summer days, sweating in a t-shirt, even in September. All of a sudden it was time to layer up in coats for the cold winter walk to work. Rapid changes, sudden shifts, the ground moving underfoot. Hard to keep up with things at times, and at other times, time can't move fast enough (Monday morning comes to mind). I and others suffered the loss of some dear friends.

Here is hoping that 2014 is better. That Congress gets more done in Washington. Hoping that more people get jobs, and get ahead. Hoping for less loss and uncertainty and hopelessness and hunger. Hope is cheap, results cost dear. We will see what happens.
